Upper Harbor Terminal Planning Process Community Input Opportunities in July

Community Meetings

The next community meeting to seek input on the planning for the Upper Harbor Terminal will be:

Tuesday, July 25

6:00 – 7:00 pm – Intro presentations for new participants    NOTE ADDITIONAL OPTION

7:00 – 8:30 pm — AFCAC meeting to gather specific input

MPRB headquarters, 2117 W. River Road N., second floor board room

The general goal of this meeting will be to gather community input on preliminary plan framework options showing: site circulation/community connections; concepts for the public components of the site (e.g., riverfront character, park improvements and other potential destination elements and potential reuses of existing structures); as well as potential development sites and uses. There will be introductory presentations between 6:00 and 7:00 to orient those who are new to the planning process, and the preliminary framework options will be available for viewing. As part of the monthly Above the Falls Community Advisory Committee meeting starting at 7:00 pm, the framework options will be presented and small group discussions will gather input. Both portions of the evening are open to the public and will be family-friendly, and refreshments will be provided.

The second community meeting that had been planned for July 27 has been canceled in recognition that it would have conflicted with the Northside’s annual FLOW Arts Crawl event. Watch for members of the Upper Harbor Terminal team to possibly have a presence during FLOW!

Note: In addition to FLOW, there also will be a Slow Roll the evening of July 27. A Slow Roll is a fun, safe, inclusive (and free) bike ride for people of all ages and skill levels to learn about our amazing community. Participants will gather starting at 5:30 pm. The Roll will head out at 6:30 pm, returning about 7:30 pm. For information about Slow Roll and the start location for July 27: https://www.facebook.com/pg/SlowRollTC/about/.
