Update on Council ED&RS Committee Actions and Upcoming Community Input Session

City Council Committee Actions Related to Upper Harbor Terminal Concept Plan

At its meeting on January 22, 2019, the Minneapolis City Council’s Economic Development and Regulatory Services (ED&RS) Committee voted to postpone consideration of five of the six recommended actions included in the staff report to the committee (including approval of the Concept Plan) for two weeks. The committee did support, though, a motion by Councilman Phillipe Cunningham to approve a resolution establishing an Upper Harbor Terminal Community Advisory Committee (CAC). This resolution now will be considered by the full City Council on February 1, 2019. If the resolution is approved, watch for a future notice with information about the CAC and how to apply for appointment to the committee.

A report to the ED&RS Committee about the UHT Concept Plan and four other related actions is now expected to be considered at two upcoming meetings:

Upper Harbor Terminal Community Input Session

In order to provide another avenue for community feedback, Council Members Phillipe Cunningham and Jeremiah Ellison will be hosting a community input session in the next two weeks that will give community members an opportunity to provide input on the Concept Plan and related topics. Watch for a future notice when the date, time and place for this session are set.
